COVID has turned many locals crafty and organiser Alison Paul said she has had to turn away many potential stall holders.

The markets, which feature all hand made products, are already bursting at the seams with around 130 market stalls booked.

“I’ve never seen anything like it, we booked out in 5 days.

“I’ve had many more apply for the waitlist and I had to close that off too,” Ms Paul said.

“I’ve had to say no so many times, I simply can’t fit anymore in!

“The Christmas market is always the busiest but the demand for stalls this year is unprecedented.

“I’m sure Covid has had something to do with it, with people having more time on their hands and exploring their creative side,” she said.

The great thing about the stalls is not only finding unique and quality handmade gifts for your loved ones this Christmas but you are also directly supporting local families as you purchase directly from the maker.

With a mix of regular stallholders and lots of new ones, the common theme is that everything is handmade or created.

Find everything from plants, gourmet foods, soaps, candles, upcycled creations, cakes, toys, gorgeous baby and kids clothing, fantastic jewellery, artwork, hair accessories, greeting cards, furniture, toys and much more!

“Customers are very excited about this market.

I think there’s been a bit of a shift this year with people getting back to grassroots buying, thinking carefully about where items they purchase are made and where their money is spent,” said Ms Paul.

The Made with Love Markets is a registered Covid-safe business and organisers ask customers to follow social distancing requirements and be patient while browsing.

The market is on this Sunday, 29 November from 9am -2pm on the Level 1 Carpark at Park Beach Plaza.
