One of the organisers, Julie Walter, told News Of The Area, “We’re really pleased with how it went, it was a wonderfully successful event!” “We were given the task of raising funds for a new playground at Medowie Christian School and while we were thinking of ideas we realised how many people we knew that had small businesses in Medowie.” The team of helpers put the word out and brought together a collection of talented businesses to form their very first Christmas Pop Up Market. There were party plan consultants, hand made cosmetics, bags, jewellery, face painters, a young girl and her first craft market, and many more. “We thought that a market would be a great opportunity to showcase people’s products and help us toward our fundraising goal,” Julie said. “As this was such a success we’re looking to build on this and have it as an annual event.” By Rachael VAUGHAN
