Celebrating 50 Years of Eisteddfod on the Coffs Coast

COFFS Harbour and District Eisteddfod are celebrating 50 years of providing opportunities to students in vocal, piano, instrumental, drama and dance across the region.

Coffs Harbour & District Eisteddfod Society president Debbie Waters has been sifting through the archives, encouraging performers past and present to share in the landmark occasion.

“In 2022 we had almost 3,000 performances across six disciplines and across five venues,” she said.

“We are in touch with previous members and executive members and family for a night of reminiscing, including previous performers who have continued in their chosen genres and expect a night to remember.

“We are a not-for-profit organisation made up of volunteers and would love to share our upcoming celebration of 50 years which is at the Jetty Memorial Theatre on 9 July.

“We would love the performing arts community to attend and help us celebrate.

“Tickets are available from Coffs Eisteddfod website at www.coffseisteddfod.org.au/ or contact Jetty Memorial Theatre,” said Debbie.

  1. Dear David, I highly recommend re-thinking this image to use in this article. If you are unsure why please google “cultural appropriation” or “my culture is not a costume” there are many resources out there and I am very surprised this got through a whole team without questioning that maybe another image would be more suitable for a celebration photo? Especially during NAIDOC week. I would love to hear a response.
    Many thanks,
