CHILDREN all over the Coffs Coast will be jumping with excitement at the announcement of the first Buskers Kids Day in three years, to be staged at Park Beach Reserve on September 28, the first Wednesday of the upcoming school holidays.

One of the biggest days of the Coffs Harbour International Buskers and Comedy Festival, the event features back-to-back, nonstop entertainment from 9.30am until 2.30pm.

Festival organisers have paid tribute to stalwart sponsors Unrealestate Coffs Coast and Geoff King Motors, whose support contributes to keeping the ticket price down to a very modest $10 per child if the tickets are purchased presale.

“We’ve been able to keep the ticket price down and once inside, all the entertainment and jumping castles etc is free,” said Roslyn Gardner from event organiser JLE.

“We don’t put out the hat on this day, we allow people to bring their own food and everyone seems happy.

“Best of all, parents and adult carers are free to a maximum of one adult per paying child,” she added.

With an offer like that, it’s no wonder children turn out in droves.

The entertainment features a great mix of artists including variety performer Mr Qwirk, who has flown in from Germany, and child friendly magician Mr Fye (pronounced ‘mistify’) from Brisbane as well as the involvement of local artists.
