By the end of 2016, it is estimated that 16,084 new cases of breast cancer will have been diagnosed in Australia.
Scientific research is the only way to battle these statistics and lower them.

Every cent donated to fund this research helps, and another Medowie business is doing more than their part to assist in raising these much-needed funds.

Sportz Cafe, at the Medowie Sports Centre on Ferodale Road, are set on making sure they give back to their community in any way possible, whether it be by offering web access to people having access problems at home who need to complete work, raising funds for the Rural fire service, or reaching further afield to National charity fundraisers.

Sportz Cafe is spending the entire month of October raising funds for Breast Cancer research, with all funds raised going to the McGrath Foundation.

They are donating 20c from every coffee sold during October, as well as selling pink ribbon cupcakes and pink ribbon gingerbread ladies.

They also have a donation jar on the counter, every cent of your change makes a difference.

The team at Sportz Café are also sporting comical Breast Cancer awareness tees made by Medowie business Zeke Unique.

Pop down to visit the girls, purchase a cuppa and a sweet treat, and donate to a wonderful cause.

  2. Wonderful to see local business supporting Breast cancer awareness month . I’m involved in Woodland Women a group for women in Medowie & surrounding areas, our aims are to provide a range of activities for all women including sharing skills, learning new skills, having fun, social group,advocating on local,issues,we want a women’s shed! We want local businesses to support us, will be down to chat sometime.
