THE members of the Bulahdelah Garden Club have been enjoying themselves on recent outings.

The 49 members all enjoy the opportunity to dress up and get together for a chat.

The members of the Bulahdelah Garden Club are keen to explore gardens and discuss various plants.

Lorretta Simpson of the Bulahdelah Garden Club told News Of The Area, “The club is a social one, we have morning tea first prior to a short meeting when we get together.

“Sometimes we have a lunch, where we bring share plates, or we go out for a meal.”

The group carpools to get to venues and they explore gardens and venues around the region, which allows some of the older members to stay active within the club.

Most trips are held within an hours drive of Bulahdelah.

“Normally at our Christmas party we hand out an itinerary for the following year so that members are able to juggle appointments around our outings,” she said.

While the group tends not to get together to get their hands dirty in the garden they do have plenty of fun together.

New members are welcome.
