Vanessa Shultz, Head Teacher for English said, “The sets and performers brought to life our usually drab school hall and transformed it into a graveyard and haunted house.”
The Year 11 & 12 Drama class worked tirelessly for 3 months to recreate this memorable performance.
The choir rehearsed twice a week, at lunchtime, to rehearse 15 songs ranging from the controversial Michael Jackson, to Abba, Pink and Taylor Swift.
“It has been delightful to watch this enormous choir learn tunes, lyrics and quirky choreography with soooooo much enthusiasm,” Ms Shultz said.
“Our dance ensemble was our largest yet (35).”
The audience area of the hall had to be reduced to accommodate the dancers energetic swing, contemporary and ballroom routines.
The stage crew have worked together beautifully to ensure the sets turn, the lights captivate and the sound effects transport us into the world of The Addams Family.
“They have demonstrated commitment, flexibility, initiative, creativity and ultimately, excellence. These skills are to be valued,” Ms Shultz said.
