MEMBER for Myall Lakes Stephen Bromhead hosted a breakfast in Taree for School Leaders in the Myall Lakes Electorate last week.

Bulahdelah Central School Captains joined students from twelve High Schools in the Electorate to discuss their goals as they move towards higher education and future employment.

Bulahdelah Captain Jayden Lilley said it was interesting to hear how Mr Bromhead had become a politician.

“He told us about all the different career paths he has had throughout his life,” Jayden said.

“Listening to him was inspiring as he spoke not just about his past, but also how he continues to support members of the communities that he represents.”

Jayden said the breakfast was a great chance to meet other school captains who were also in the same position of planning for their futures.

The breakfast was attended by fifty students and teachers.

Mr Bromhead said it proved to be a great opportunity for the student leaders to network with their peers.

“The breakfast is the ideal forum to enable the students to communicate with each other,” he said.

“I spoke to the group regarding my role in the community and encouraged those present to consider making a contribution to their community by becoming involved as leaders in their local service organisations executive committees.”

Mr Bromhead answered many questions posed by the students relating to his career and his future plans.
