THE Coffs Harbour Breakers have capped off a brilliant season with a decisive victory to win the AFL North Coast Under 17s premiership.

The Breakers beat the Sawtell/Toormina Saints by 34 points in their grand final at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium.

In one of the best seasons seen by an AFL North Coast team in recent years, the Breakers lost just once all season on their way to winning the minor premiership and grand final double.

The Breakers had a dominant season with an average winning margin of 50 points.

The grand final was played in tricky wet weather conditions, with the Breakers handling the tough scenario better than the Saints.

The Breakers second quarter set up their premiership win, as they scored three of their five goals of the match to take a commanding 27 point lead into half-time.

The Breakers won the territory battle throughout the premiership decider, as their clearance game proved vital.

Sawtell/Toormina Saints player Jai Bowd was awarded best on ground.
