Boambee Beach to host latest round of NSW Beach Volleyball Tour

THE state’s best beach volleyballers are set to play off on the sands of Boambee Beach this weekend.

The latest round of the NSW Beach Volleyball Tour will be played over two big days featuring some of the best beach volleyball seen in Australia.

The Coffs Harbour round of the NSW Beach Volleyball Tour will feature matches getting underway on Saturday morning, before a Junior Beach Performance Camp on Saturday afternoon.

Semi-finals and finals of the Coffs Harbour round get underway from 8am on Sunday morning, with the Youth Beach Volleyball Tour round also played on Sunday.

Before the tour matches begin, a training session will be held on Friday night led by 2012 Beach Volleyball Olympian Martin Reader, as well as a social competition.

The NSW Beach Volleyball Tour is the highest level of beach volleyball in the state, which provides a competitive environment for NSW’s elite and developing athletes.

In addition to the Coffs Harbour round, the series is also held in Manly, Avoca, Port Macquarie, Newcastle, Maroubra, and Wollongong.

The NSW Beach Volleyball Tour culminates with the NSW Beach Championships at Manly in February, and the NSW Junior Beach Championships at Mollymook in March.

Coffs Harbour Volleyball Association holds Social Sundays from 9am each Sunday at the Jetty Beach Volleyball courts, as well as two seasonal tournaments.
