Many residents from Salt Ash, Williamtown and Medowie brought down blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, clothing, phone chargers and more for the Tilligerry residents waiting out the fires at the church.
Many residents were encouraged to borrow the blankets their children were asleep in when the roads opened, so as not to disturb them further.
Whilst most have been returned to the church, there are still a number of outstanding blankets and sleeping bags that are special to church members, that they would love to see returned when residents are able.
There is also a pile of blankets and pillows that were leant to the church on the night and returned, but which haven’t been collected by their lenders yet.
A kind local also lent her collection of phone chargers and cords to the church for the convenience of the stranded travellers being able to keep their devices running, and the church is looking for her to return the collection to.
If the above information applies to you, feel free to visit the Church whenever you are available.
