Peter Power of the Nelson Bay Golf Club told News Of The Area, “The Club has donated services and support to the day for 21 years, and hope to continue working with the committee for the next 21 years.” President of the Nelson Bay volunteers for the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Rob Wilbow said, “The Angel Billy Golf Classic is being held on 28 October at Nelson Bay Golf Club, this year we have cars as hole in one prizes on 2 holes sponsored by Port Stephens Toyota, which allows unlimited number of cars to be given away, we will also have a major raffle supported by Harvey Norman, along with auctions and lots of other prizes donated by the local community on the day.” Josh Walker and Michelle Smith of Port Stephens Toyota shared the company’s commitment to the community “Supporting the local community is the reason why the Burton family built the dealership in town, and they are proud to be supporting the community and the important service that the Westpac Rescue Helicopter delivers for the Port Stephens community.” Westpac Rescue Helicopter was established in 1975 as a weekend beach patrol and through community support and fundraising has become a critical service that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days per week.
