On Friday night, Benchmark will have the smooth tunes of Witchery playing at 6pm.

Witchery is the brainchild of Janie Wanless, who wanted to start a band that covers both the classics and modern dance tracks.

Witchery has been performing as a duo for two years now and is about to launch their five piece covers band under the same name.

Currently, the duo consists of Janie Wanless on lead vocals and Jake Hunt on lead vocals and lead guitar.

Witchery cover everything from AC/DC to Rihanna; and everything in between.

There is plenty of Aussie rock in there along with some rocked up versions of Bruno Mars, Miley Cyrus and Salt’n’Pepper.

Janie told News Of The Area, “This is our first performance at Benchmark, but we have performed locally at Tea Gardens Country Club, Tilligerry RSL and venues around Port Stephens like Seabreeze Hotel, Anna Bay Tavern and Nelson Bay Diggers.”

“We’d love to see lots of new faces in the audience.”
