Anya Hurdman Shari’s mother told News Of The Area, “It was very exciting!” The medley relay is 200m, 200m, 100m and 300m, Shari ran first and got them off to a great start. Shari also came fourth in her 200m final. “It wasn’t ideal racing conditions; cold and wet and windy! “It was a challenging introduction to serious competition and reinforced how preparation and focus is paramount. “Shari did very well,” she said. Lilly Mullane from the Bay also competed at the games coming fourth in the 11yrs Discus. It was a fantastic experience to attend the games for both Shari Hurdman and Lilly Mullane, they both forged many friendships with their fellow NSW teammates and competed with students from around the Pacific region. The 2017 Pacific School Games Adelaide is proudly recognised by the Australian Olympic Committee as an Olympic Education Program. For both Lilly Mullane and Shari Hurdman performing well at an Australian Olympic Committee recognised program is recognition of the high standards which they have both achieved in their sports.
