Campaign organiser for the Myall region, Jodie Genner, was thrilled with the result.

“We had in 105 bags in total, which is more than the 92 from last year,” Jodie said.

The bags were donated full of essential hygiene and sanitary items and Christmas treats for women who find themselves in crisis.

“I would like to personally thank everyone who donated for this year’s ‘It’s in the Bag’, Jodie said.

“As of 11 December, Share the Dignity collected 104,361 bags across Australia.”

“Share the Dignity also received a cash donation from the lovely Ladies fairy day, this will go towards the rollout of more sanitary vending machines,” Jodie added.

The so-called ‘Ladies of Fairy Day’ was held at the Tea Gardens Hotel earlier this month coinciding with Tradies Day Christmas celebrations in Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest.

The Ladies raised $450 for Share the Dignity and over $600 worth of presents for children in need.

Fairy Day Organisers Sue Abrahams and Liz Fenwick would also like to thank Lofty’s Crane Service and the Tea Gardens Hotel for their donations.
