While thrilled with the award, Louise has been forced to make the tough decision to close her Singing Bridge Gallery in Tea Gardens. “We want to thank everyone who’s come in, but financially we just can’t afford to keep the doors open,” Louise said. “My photography business will still continue, I’ll have my studio set up in my house and I’ll still be doing exhibitions in town.” “After seven months in this Gallery, I’d like to thank the photographers and artists who contributed their works to the gallery among them, Terri Meakins, Jennifer Street, Bev Bush and Simon Wilson.” “It’s been great to exhibit their work and hopefully they’ll find another outlet for their art.” “My works will always be available on line and I’ll still be doing framing, just go to my email at louiserichardsphotography.com.au The Singing Bridge Gallery on Myall Street, opens its doors for the last time this Friday 15 February.
