Armed robbery of Granville brothel National News by NOTA - August 28, 2014 Police are investigating after the armed robbery of a brothel in Sydney’s west yesterday. About 5pm (Wednesday 27 August 2014), two men entered the brothel on Cowper Street, Granville and threatened the manager that they were in possession of a firearm. The men took cash and police were alerted after they left, however an extensive search of the area using a police dog failed to locate them. No one was injured in the robbery. A crime scene was established and examined by forensic officers. Police from Rosehill Local Area Command are investigating the incident. The men have both been described as being of 20-25 years of age, of large build, of either Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance or Pacific Islander/Maori appearance; and were wearing hooded jackets, pants and sunglasses at the time.
