Email us – media@newsofthearea.com.au Federal Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie MP urges sporting groups across the electorate to apply for grant funding. “This is an ideal opportunity to secure funds for projects that support and foster a lasting love of sport among women and girls and provide more suitable infrastructure and equipment. “Playing sport has a myriad of benefits from health and wellbeing to community connectedness.” There are two funding streams available under the program – facilities, and participation and equipment. Councils, community, not-for-profit and sporting organisations can apply. Applications close at 2pm on 29 April 2024.
