ANZAC Day will be commemorated with services, marches, two up and luncheons across the Myall Coast on Monday, April 25.

Tea Gardens RSL sub-Branch will hold a Dawn Service from 6.00am at Anzac Park, Marine Drive followed by a March at 10am commencing at Ogden Street and a service at 11am in Anzac Park.

The sub-Branch have been busy selling poppies and pins ahead of Monday’s services.

Members of the sub-Branch will be again selling ANZAC Day commemoration symbols at the Tea Gardens Country Club on Wednesday and Friday evening this week, from 5:30 to 7:00pm, at the Hawks Nest Golf Club on Friday from 4:30pm to 7:00pm, and at Tea Gardens Coles throughout Friday and Saturday.

Poppies and pins will also be available at the services on Monday.

The Bulahdelah RSL sub-Branch will be holding a Dawn Service from 6.00am at the Cenotaph on Mead Street, which will be followed by a March from 10.30am commencing from Crawford Street, followed by a Service at 11am at the Cenotaph on Mead Street.

Two Up will be held at Bulahdelah Bowling Club after the service.

Stroud will hold an ANZAC Day March at 8.00am in Cowper Street.

Karuah will also hold a dawn march, commencing from 5:50am, and departing near Malcolm Rd on Tarean Road with a service from 6.00am to 7.00am at the Memorial Park.

In Gloucester ANZAC Day will be commemorated with a Dawn Service at 5.30am at the Memorial Clock Tower, followed by a march commencing at 10.30am at the Soldiers Club.

There will be a subsequent service from 11am at the Memorial Clock Tower.

Two Up will be held at the Soldiers Club after the service.

This year is the first anniversary since Australia’s withdrawal from Afghanistan, ending Australia’s large-scale military commitment in the Middle East which ran from 1991 – 2021.

2022 also marks the 50th Anniversary of the withdrawal of the Australian Task Force from Vietnam, and the 80th anniversary of significant WWII battles to the north of Australia.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning we will remember them.
