Aggravated break-in and theft at Salamander Bay Regional News by NOTA - November 26, 2014 Police are appealing for information following an aggravated break, enter and steal incident at Salamander Bay this morning. Between 12.50am and 1.30am (Wednesday 26 November 2014), four people were seen to approach the rear door of a surf shop located in a shopping centre on Town Centre Circuit. Police have been told the group, armed with a jemmy bar, sledge hammer and torches, forced entry into the back of the store. They left a short time later, taking cash and stock, including skateboards, clothing and watches. It’s believed the four intruders were men, of thin build, and all were wearing hooded jumpers. Officers attached to Port Stephens Local Area Command were notified of the incident and commenced investigations. Police are appealing for anyone with information or anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time of the incident to contact Port Stephens Police via Crime Stoppers.
