AFL North Coast’s best and fairest winners have been awarded after having outstanding seasons in 2022.

Fraser Duryea won his third Brian Saviile Medal as league best and fairest, with the Northern Beaches Blues player becoming the fourth player in AFL North Coast history to win the award three times.

Duryea won the award after polling 19 votes from the umpires, with Port Macquarie Magpies co-coach Braden Saggers finishing runner up.

Sawtell/Toormina Saints player Lilli-Yana Moody and Northern Beaches Blues player Gina Cardillo were joint winners of the women’s best and fairest award, with Cassidy Ronalds of the Coffs Harbour Breakers one point behind them in third.

Gina Cardillo became the second woman in AFL North Coast history to win the best and fairest twice.

Max Smith of the Casino Lions was awarded best and fairest in the reserves competition.

Sawtell/Toormina Saints player Jai Bowd was best and fairest in the under 17s.
