WITH the AFL North Coast season reaching its mid-season point, here is how the eight clubs have fared so far this season.

Coffs Harbour Breakers: The Breakers senior men’s and women’s sides both sit at the top of the ladder undefeated as they look to repeat the premiership success of the men’s team in 2019, and the women’s in 2020.

The Breakers reserves side also sit second on the ladder.

Northern Beaches Blues: The Blues have made the step up to first grade footy a successful one so far this season, as they sit second on the men’s ladder with four wins and a draw from their first six matches.

The Blues women also sit second on the ladder as they look to go one better than their runners up finish in 2020.

Lismore Swans: The Swans have made a solid start to their debut season in the AFL North Coast competition, with both their men’s and women’s teams sitting third on the ladder.

Grafton Tigers: The defending premiers have had an up and down start to their premiership defence with three wins and a draw from their opening seven games.

Sawtell/Toormina Saints: After a slow start to the season the perennial powerhouse headed into the mid-season break with a confidence boosting win against the reigning premiers Grafton Tigers, which sees them sit just outside the top four.

The club’s reserves and under 17’s teams sit at the top of their respective ladders.

Port Macquarie Magpies: Both their men’s and women’s sides have negative win/loss records and will look to improve during the back end of the season.

Nambucca Valley Lions: Have found the step up to first grade footy to be a tough one after winning last year’s reserves premiership, with just one win from their first seven games.

Casino Lions: Their first season in the AFL North Coast competition has been a true baptism of fire as they are the only seniors side yet to win a game.

THE AFL North Coast season continues tomorrow with Round 8 matches.

The Sawtell/Toormina Saints host the Coffs Harbour Breakers in the local derby at Richardson Park, while the Northern Beaches Blues host the Grafton Tigers in Woolgoolga.
