Always a highlight to the area’s ‘must see’ attractions, it runs to the end of the month at The Gallery on the Tea Gardens waterfront.

This year’s theme is ‘A Window On Life’ and the creativity presented gives wide and varied insight into post-lockdown ‘new normal’ life.

GIG artists have represented this theme in diverse ways.

There are discoveries from literally looking through a window; their thoughts of times to come; their hopes and dreams; and findings from personal introspection.

“We’re all living in a unique time in history, so there’s bound to be a work to relate to,” says GIG president Lesly Stevenson.

“Do drop in to have a look, perhaps have a rest in our beautiful garden – it makes a nice, relaxing interlude and entry’s free.”

Due to COVID restrictions the traditional opening event and raffle won’t be held, however throughout the exhibition the group is collecting funds for Wildlife In Need of Care, our area’s wildlife rescuers, and GIG will also add a donation.

The Gallery is located in the waterfront café strip at 81 Marine Drive, Tea Gardens, diagonally opposite the Tea Gardens ferry wharf.

The Gallery is temporary closed due to the New South Wales covid situation and hopes to reopen on the 4th of January. Updates regarding the reopening will be on the Galleries in the Gardens Facebook page and on the www.galleriesinthegardens.com.au website
