The Pacific Highway site has recently been transformed into the Home Co. retail development which currently houses Anaconda, Geoff King Motors, Road Tech Marine, and Sydney Tools.
The two-storey gym is proposed to contain a members’ lounge area, weights and cardio area, creche, two saunas, reception area and associated cafe and retail area for gym patrons only, amenities, sales/manager office and a barber on the ground floor.
On the first floor is proposed a group fitness area, cycling room, cardio deck, massage room, and staff rooms and associated amenities.
The gym will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week for gym patrons.
The facility is proposed to accommodate up to 350 gym members/users at any point in time, and employ a total of 20 staff members.
A development application for the new gym was recently lodged with Coffs Harbour City Council by Home Consortium Property Pty Ltd.
The application involves a change of use from Bulky Goods to Recreation Facility (Indoors), refurbishment and the addition of another level to the former single-storey bulky goods and trade building site.
The World Gym franchise began in 1976, and today boasts more than 215 gyms across twenty countries and six continents.
