Melbourne’s leading drag queen, Abril LaTrene, is coming to town and will be hosting a hilariously entertaining night of Drag Bingo at the Golden Sands Tavern on the evening of Thursday, 17 November to raise funds in support of Wildlife Information Rescue and Education Service Mid North Coast (WIRES MNC).

Abril LaTrene is an international host, MC and performer, having graced stages and venues in Thailand, Bali, New Zealand and the United States.

A little closer to home, Abril has performed in nearly every state in Australia and taken up residencies in venues both in Queensland and Victoria.

When News Of The Area asked Abril LaTrene what Drag Bingo was all about, she said, “It is a crazy night of bingo that’s a bit cheeky, a bit raucous, often inappropriate and definitely adults only with a comedy spin on the traditional bingo.

“There will be some musical rounds of bingo and lots of laughs are guaranteed on what will be a great night out.”

Originally intended to take place in the Wahoo Lounge at the Golden Sands Tavern, demand for tickets has been so high that the event will now take place in the extended bistro area of the tavern in order to enable more people to come along.

Many local businesses are getting behind WIRES MNC through generous donations meaning winners will take home great prizes on the night.

Tickets are only $11:50 with a whopping $10 from each ticket going to WIRES MNC.
