Wanted men caught and charged at Raymond Terrace Raymond Terrace, Heatherbrae, Tomago by NOTA - August 16, 2016 Two men wanted on warrants have been arrested and charged at Raymond Terrace today. About 10am (Tuesday 16 August 2016), officers from Port Stephens Local Area Command, with the assistance of officers from the Dog Unit, attended a home in Banks Street, Raymond Terrace, in order to arrest a man. The 21-year-old man, who was wanted on a warrant and for alleged firearms charges, was arrested as he allegedly fled the house. A subsequent search of the man allegedly located an amount of methyl amphetamine (‘Ice’) in his possession. About 11.15am (Tuesday 16 August 2016), officers also attended a home Mount Hall Road and arrested a 38-year-old man, who was wanted following an alleged pursuit the previous day in Raymond Terrace. Both men were taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station. A 21-year-old man was charged with the outstanding warrant, supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and a previous possess unregistered firearm charge. He was refused bail and appeared before Raymond Terrace Local Court today before being remanded to appear before the same court on Wednesday 5 October 2016. A 38-year-old man was taken to hospital under police guard after it was ascertained the man was allegedly under the influence of illicit drugs. He was later released from hospital and taken back to Raymond Terrace Police Station where he was charged with breach of bail, breach ADVO, possess prohibited drug, possess shortened firearm, not keep firearm safely, police pursuit – not stop (‘Skye’s law’), and several other traffic offences. The man was refused bail to appear before Raymond Terrace Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 17 August 2016).
