Looking for a free fun day out with skate, scooter and BMX competitions, DJ, epic slip and slides, sumo suits and ‘Look at Me’ photo booth with plenty of prizes and giveaways?

You can have all this plus more at this year’s King of the Krater event organised as part of Youth Week Celebrations occurring in the Great Lakes area.

Taking centre stage on Saturday 16 April at Tuncurry Skate Park, transport is no problem with a free bus running from Bulahdelah Central School.

Organised in partnership between the Westpac Helicopter and Homebase Youth Services, there will be over $3000 in cash and prizes on offer during the day.

A gold coin donation is all it takes for those wishing to participate in the skate, scooter and BMX competitions, however all competitors must wear protective gear and helmet.

There will be plenty to see and do for non-participants with organisers encouraging all young people to bring some friends and enjoy a day specifically designed for them.

Food will be available for purchase from a BBQ during the day with all proceeds going to the Westpac Helicopter Service.

The event, which runs from 10am till 4pm, is completely drug and alcohol free with limited supervision from youth services staff and security.

The free bus leaves Bulahdelah Central School at 9am and will return by 5pm.

Seats for the bus can be booked on the Bulahdelah Community Facebook page or you can just turn up at the school on Saturday.

King of the Krater is sponsored by NSW Youth Week, Great Lakes Council, Club Forster and Tuncurry Post Office in addition to a wide array of supporters who have donated prizes and in-kind help.
