BELLINGEN Artisan & Growers Market is on Saturday 11 June, alongside the Bellingen Readers & Writers Festival at the Bellingen Showground, from 7.30am to 2.30pm.

Proudly showcasing over 100 creative artists and organic and conventional growers, and makers from the Mid North Coast of NSW, it’s a wonderful opportunity to see and purchase something unique and local.

Creations such as painting, printing, wood, metal, glass and leatherwork, embroidery, ceramics, jewellery, weaving, mosaics, leadlight, clothing including babywear, basketry, plants, natural therapies, skin products, candles, honey, gourmet gin, and delicious food.

“For over 30 years the Bellingen Artisan & Growers Market has been bringing together talented, creative and hardworking people from all over the Mid North Coast, to share their quality creations and food with the wider community,” Kaz Selbie, manager of the market committee told News Of The Area.

“People value uniqueness, quality, local, fresh and organic.

“More than ever we understand the importance of supporting our local artists and growers, especially if we want them to continue selling their superior product.

“Community groups and musicians are also a big part of the event.

“It’s one big celebration of artists and growers and everyone is welcome,” she said.

“We also have yummy hot food and coffee,” added Kaz.

Throughout the day the Deep Blue Sea band will play their eclectic music, described as unashamedly deeply rooted in the blues genre, and taking full advantage of the diverse rhythmic content of Chicago blues to sweet soulful delta, cool funky jazz and electrifying Latin styles.

“The Showground has ample space for the kids to run around while you wander to your heart’s delight, feeling good knowing you’re supporting, encouraging and celebrating artists, growers and makers of our region.”
