Tea Gardens Hawks Nest SLSC takes on Round 5 of the Streets Surf Boat Series Myall Coast Sport News Of The Area by News Of The Area - Modern Media - January 13, 2021 Teams battled rough conditions at Nobbys Beach for Round 5 of the Streets Surf Boat Series. IT was a day of strong results in rough seas for Tea Gardens Hawks Nest Surf Life Saving Club teams on Saturday, for Round 5 of the Streets Surf Boat Series at Nobbys Beach. Club members took out first place in the Junior Boys category, while the Opens teams came second and fourth. The Club’s Reserve Crew walked away with a first, second and third in testing conditions. Unfortunately the girls competition was called off due to the dangerous ocean conditions. Competition will resume on Saturday 13 February at Ocean Beach, before the series finale on Saturday 27 March at Soldiers. The Streets Surf Boat Series is the premier surf boat series in Australia and has been enjoyed by Central Coast and Hunter boat crews for the past 25 years. The teams will compete in two more rounds of the series. Teams did their club proud in trying conditions in Newcastle.
