The Tea Gardens/Hawks Nest Motor Club is famous for its annual Motorfest but it also does a club run every month.
“We drive to Raymond Terrace, Newcastle, Clarence Town, Stroud, Dungog, Bulahdelah, Nelson Bay, Tuncurry and Nabiac,” Club President Juergen Seil told News Of The Area.
“Recently 16 Club Members had a most enjoyable drive to the Teahouse Café in Nabiac, a favourite of many locals, the service was great, the food was excellent and the prices very reasonable.”
Members bring out their vintage, veteran or classic car for the once a month outing.
And it’s very easy to join.
“For the many newcomers to our town, they will be surprised by the many excellent eating places within a one hour drive of Tea Gardens,”
“It’s simple,” Juergen said, “They come as a visitor to our monthly meeting at the Tea Gardens Country Club.”
“We meet every second Tuesday of the month at 6.45 pm near the bar.”
“We than walk at 7 pm over to the Motel next door for our meeting”
Juergen suggests that most new members give him a call first to discuss what it means to become a member.
He can be contacted on 02 4997 0014.
