MIDCOAST Council’s Grant Guru has been helping local businesses, community groups and not-for-profit organisations navigate the world of grant funding since it launched at the start of this year.

The web portal, established through a partnership with Grant Guru, provides instant access to the most comprehensive compilation of funding opportunities across Australia.

Not only does the online grant hub list available funding opportunities, it also provides helpful advice on applying for grants to improve the applicant’s chance of success.

“There are a lot of great funding opportunities out there, but the process of finding and applying for grants can be quite daunting,” said Lyndie Hepple, MidCoast Council’s Community Development Coordinator.

“Many people don’t know where to start looking, don’t have time to search dozens of websites, or they find out about funding opportunities too late to put an application together.

“The grant finder is an exciting, easy-to-use tool that alleviates some of these challenges and we encourage community groups, sports clubs, not-for-profit organisations and businesses to jump on board.”

Grant funding contributes to significant enhancements in services, events, and facilities available to the MidCoast community.

The grants hub is designed to uncomplicate the process of finding and applying for grants, allowing users to quickly decide if their organisation or group is eligible to apply, the likelihood of success, and what effort is required versus the potential reward.

Users have an option to register for free and indicate what type of funding they are looking for, enabling them to receive email alerts when relevant grants become available, making sure they never miss a funding opportunity.

“The MidCoast grants hub is about empowering our community to secure funding that ultimately keeps our region thriving and the fact that it’s free to use is an added bonus,” Lyndie added.
