A familiar site around primary schools from the Bay to Medowie and Tilligerry, and through to Raymond Terrace and into Seaham as hundreds of baby-faced Port Stephens children headed off to ‘big school’, beginning an exciting new chapter in their lives.
Medowie Public School Kindergarten parent Manda Green told News Of The Area, “Our daughter Eleanor has had a great start to kindergarten and we couldn’t be happier.”
“There were no tears from anyone, which was great.”
Irrawang Public School Kindergarten parent Sharon Castles said her son Thomas, “Loved getting up and getting ready for school each day, he’s made a new friend already and is really enjoying it despite a few tears on the first day.”
Jasmin Charles, who sent her son to Bobs Farm Public School last week, told News Of The Area, “It is such a great little school, I can’t even stress how amazing it has been.”
Jewell Drury, long-time St Philips Christian College parent, told News Of The Area, “Destiny loves kindergarten and wears a big smile on her face everyday.”
“She is number eight of my children to attend St Philips and we couldn’t be happier.”
“Destiny is very shy and softly spoken so the small nurturing environment and small classes have really helped with her transition to big school,” she said.
