It’s all part of the “School Blitz” which see players visit almost 3 thousand children to promote Rugby League and deliver a message of well being, belonging, nutrition and respect.

‘’It was great to be able to take part in the School Blitz,” the Knight’s Jacob Saifiti said.

“As a group we got to visit more than 20 schools this week, which shows just how important it is to us as a playing group to give back to the community.”

The students are also encouraged to sign up to play with their local clubs and to become red and blue members in season 2018.

Luke Lawrence, an NRL Game Development Officer, said “We are really appreciative of the great work that the Newcastle Knights are doing in the community”.

“We are hoping to have many boys and girls register for their local Junior League club the Myall River Hawks”.

“It is great to have players such as Jacob and Christian Hazard share their experience with the students of Tea Gardens Public School and show the importance of living a healthy lifestyle”.
