With plans to revitalise the iconic pub, Anthony said he is firmly focused on the business becoming an integral part of the community.

“I think it’s a great town with lots of character and history, I want to work with the community and the many great businesses to make Bulahdelah the best it can be,” Anthony said.

“My vision is for the pub is to reconnect with the people of Bulahdelah and their family and friends. This will take hard work and time, but it will definitely be worth it.”

In addition to re-engaging the local community, Anthony said improving public facilities adjacent to the hotel, including parks and access to the Myall River, are part of his plans to encourage more visitors to the area.

“I believe in Bulahdelah and really want everyone to see what a great place it is,” he said.

“It is such a warm and friendly community and deserves recognition as a great destination for all visitors.”

Anthony said showcasing local talent as part of the pub’s live entertainment program on Friday and Saturday nights is another area he is keen to expand.

He is also committed to employing local staff and supporting local suppliers.

“I have met many of the local businesses and suppliers and they have been very friendly and supportive,” Anthony said.

“Our staff have been great and are always coming up with new ideas on how we can make the pub better for all.”

Anthony said the proceeds from their Thursday raffles will be donated to local charities and organisations.

To further support the community and nearby regional areas, Anthony said he is looking at expanding existing businesses,
Finance Australia and Law Australia, with a Bulahdelah office scheduled to open later this year.
