OUR Medowie feeder public high school has announced their school leaders for 2017, and News Of The Area is confident in the ability of this fine group of students to set a wonderful example for the young students in all grades below them.

Irrawang High School’s 2017 Captains are Annabel Bisley and Lincoln Hunter, supported by Vice-Captains Dylan Hopper and Luke Keating, and Student Leader Nikita Taylor.

Year 12 students have the most significant leadership responsibilities to each other, and to the younger grades.
School leaders are expected to be ambassadors who embody the school values and school mottos.

Their duties range from public speaking at school events to active involvement in school activities, and encouraging the involvement of other students.
School leaders are elected by the student body to represent them and act as an organisational team representing all students.

They are the most significant student leaders in the school.

School leaders are expected to take an active role in all aspects of the school community and work with others to achieve the best possible outcomes.

They must be approachable, reliable and trustworthy.

School Captains must be involved in a range of co-curricular activities such as sport, music and debating, and be positive role models for all students with regards to behaviour and presentation.

Irrawang High School representative, Luella Fagan, told News Of The Area, “The student body have chosen a wonderful group of year twelve students to represent them.”

“They are a fine, upstanding group, who will carry out their duties to a high standard.”
