AUTHOR and poet Jennifer Hetherington has joined the News Of The Area team as a correspondent.

As a published author and committed writer of poetry and prose, Jen recognises the stories in her community of Stuarts Point, Fishermans Reach, Scotts Head and surrounds are relevant, current and uplifting and of course well worthy of reporting. Though a relative newcomer to the area, Jen considers all the north coast of NSW as home.

Jen holds a degree in Creative Writing and Screen Studies from Griffith University and has a second book of poetry due for publication late 2022, which will include a single poem ‘Cross Words’ that won the 2022 Welsh Poetry Competition.
