School holiday fun for kids at C.ex Coffs

Cirkus Maximas are coming to Coffs Harbour for a special school holiday performance.

POPULAR Gold Coast troupe Cirkus Maximas will make a special school holidays appearance at C.ex Coffs on Saturday 17 July.

Cirkus Maximas was formed on the Gold Coast in 2019/20 when a group of young acrobats decided that performing together was a lot more fun.

Rhett and Tila Morrow, who both studied at the celebrated Beijing Circus school, teamed up with one of Gold Coast’s most in-demand circus performers in Sam Ellis and his sister Mimi.

Coffs Coast promoter John Logan then suggested they take the show on the road and do school holiday shows in NSW.

The group was an instant hit, doing nearly 40 shows in a few short months.

“Then Covid hit and work in NSW virtually stopped for nearly two years,” said John Logan.

“Now the team is back on the road with new routines and more fun.”

With eight shows in just six days, they will be flat out working from Ballina in the north right down to Laurieton.

The show is a fast-paced sixty minutes of circus thrills and spills, acrobatics, juggling, plate spinning, daring stunts, audience participation and a whole lot more.

After the show children are invited to stay for the circus workshop.

Tickets are $10 for the show and an extra $5 if staying for the workshop.

Ringmaster Rhett Bigstar is very excited to bring the show to local audiences, saying he “can’t wait to get back to Coffs.”

Cirkus Maximas performs at C.ex Coffs on Saturday 17 July at 11am in the club’s auditorium.
