Macksville Country Club Golf

The Club’s oldest active player, Dale Brunsdon, about to drive on the 10th with playing partner Desma Hughes watching on.

THIS great weather has encouraged golfers to turn out in good numbers.

The Allan Clarke sponsored game was a two person aggregate combined with the Brian Burns Memorial of Macksville to Nambucca Heads ten teams of two challenge.

Local knowledge must be an asset as Nambucca won by eight to two matches at the Heads while Macksville at home won eight and a half to one and a half in the return.

The drawn game saw Macksville overall winners by half a game.

Graham Everett teamed with Gus Single to win the aggregate event from Mick O’Brien and Garry Clarke.

Graham’s regular practice with partner Jo Montague is paying dividends as both Graham and Jo had wins during the week while young Gus is continuing to improve.

Ross Donnelly had a win in the mid week competition ahead of Jim Wilkes.

As mentioned, Jo won the ladies competition on Tuesday with Desma Hughes runner up.
