This Day is a little different to our normal Tuesday bowls. There were 36 bowlers taking part.  They played two games of 10 ends, 2 bowl triples, changing rinks after the first game.

This competition is an annual event sponsored by RSL LifeCare  at the Grange.

The Social Committee members catered for our lunch with a wonderful array of gourmet sandwiches, followed by an abundance of delicious slices, homemade, by some of club members.

There were so many slices that the surplus was boxed and sold, with the proceeds going into our Oncology Day coffers.

Julie Woolard, manager of the RSL LifeCare Grange, joined us for lunch and presented the winners and the runners up with their prizes.

The winners for the day were Wilma Drake, Rusty Sargeant and Vicki Rankin, with 2 wins and 42 shots. Well played!!

The runners up were Chris Fossey, Jill McBride and Lynne Green, with 2 wins and 33 shots. Close!

Tea Gardens Women’s Bowling Club wishes to sincerely thank the RSL LifeCare for their continuing sponsorship of this event, for without it, this Day would not happen.

Thursday 22nd October: No Social Bowls today , due to the away game.

Tea Gardens won the inaugural “Challenge: This year Lemon Tree Passage hosted the “Challenge”. In some closely fought matches, Tea Gardens regained the trophy with a score of 99 – 75.

The trophy was duly returned to our display cabinet until next year.
