WHEN faced with weeks of relentless rain, those of the Christian faith are known to get industrious.

But rather than fashion an ark, local film production company Love Out Loud Oz have put their efforts into building a new studio facility located at the LifeHouse Church.

Writer, director, and star of many of the videos, Adrian Penny, says the studio is a way to overcome certain challenges of the film world.

“We tried to do a lot of filming at the start of the year, but we couldn’t do it with the amount of rain we had.

“There were other problems with shooting in the open as well, like noise from tractors and cows.

“You can’t really ask them to stop!”

The project was funded by donations from within the church community, and will give the production company the ability to film regardless of weather, or lowing cattle.

“The studio has been tailored around filming our Love Out Loud Oz productions”, Mr Penny said.

“We’re on our 31st video now and with the new studio, we’ll look to double that.”

The videos created as part of the production will be used as resources for school scripture and teaching staff.

Given Mr Penny’s background in education, he believes that there is certainly a need for video material within classrooms.

“There was a growing need for content especially after Covid, so it’s a gap we thought we could fill.

“There are also people out there that volunteer a lot of their time so it’s something they can use to help make it easier for them to deliver the message.

“We try to keep it all fun, down to earth and positive.

“Something that will be uplifting for the kids who watch it.”

The Love Out Loud Oz project has given much needed work to local film production, sound, and entertainment crew and the videos are set to be released for delivery to schools and churches from the start of next term.
