Everybody loves an Easter Hat Parade, including your dog

Someone’s not quite convinced this charming hat is a winner.

EVERYBODY loves an Easter Hat Parade, and when there’s a warm invitation to take your dog along you know you’ll be in for a great time.

On Easter Sunday, April 17, Greyhounds As Pets (GAP NSW) will be holding a colourful Easter Hat Dog Show in Coffs Harbour from 8am to 2pm at Harbourside Markets, Marina Drive, Jetty Foreshores.

Enter yourself and your dog in the Easter Hat Dog Show Contest wearing an Easter hat or fascinator, or let the kids wear a hat and have the fun.

Prizes will be awarded in each category with Easter egg baskets, doggie treats and blue ribbon awards on offer.

Bring the family along for the day and enjoy amazing market stalls, face painting and a great fun atmosphere.

This will be a bright, feel-good event and another way to bring attention to rehoming greyhounds in the Hunter Mid North Coast area.

Several greyhounds will be available to meet and pat and visitors will also have the opportunity to talk to the expert GAP NSW team about how to go about adopting or fostering a greyhound, and whether it is right for them.

Greyhounds As Pets is a not-for-profit initiative coordinated by Greyhound Racing NSW.

Their adoption process will help match you to the best greyhound for you and your family.

“We pride ourselves on matching the right dog to you and your circumstances, as well as providing you with comprehensive support during and after the adoption process,” says Dr Alicia Fuller, General Manager, GAPNSW.

Finding a dog is easy… but finding a family-friendly dog is a challenge that Greyhounds As Pets take very seriously.

“Our greyhound adoption program begins from the first point of contact you have with us.

“Our goal is to find you a new loving family member so you live ‘happily ever after’.”
