ANZAC Day 2022 Commemorations across the Nambucca Valley Nambucca Valley Nambucca Valley by News Of The Area - Modern Media - April 14, 2022 Australian soldiers about to mount Bushmaster Vehicles in Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan, 2013. FOR some Australians the impact of the last two years of COVID restrictions on ANZAC Day commemorations will be the most indelible memory of the global pandemic. For ANZAC Day this year there will be no such restrictions and commemoration services and marches will proceed as normal. Being the first ANZAC Day since the withdrawal from Afghanistan and the end of Australia’s large-scale military commitment to the Middle East, many RSL sub-Branches across the state will be encouraging veterans of the Middle East operations to be at the front of their respective marches. While not everyone will attend ANZAC Day events this year RSL NSW advises all of us to pause and reflect on the sacrifices made by our country during times of conflict. Throughout the Nambucca Valley, Dawn Services, Marches and Main Services will be held in respective towns. The combined RSL sub-Branches of the Nambucca Valley advise the following timings for 25 April 2022, ANZAC Day.
