Clean sweep for North Coast Football in opening round of NPL season Coffs Coast Sport Sport by News Of The Area - Modern Media - March 15, 2022 North Coast Football under 13s with new female coach Helen Moseley. NORTH Coast Football made it a clean sweep in their opening fixtures of the National Premier League last Saturday against Lake Macquarie FC. The North Coast scored 24 goals as they cruised past Lake Macquarie in all four age groups with the under 13s winning 7-2, under 14s winning 9-0 and the under 15s and 16s both winning 4-1. NCF appointed their first female coach, Helen Moseley, to coach the under 13s and it’s been a big turn around for the side, considering they went down 17-0 in their opening fixture this time last year. Head coach Alex Nolan was pleased with the performance but he wasn’t getting carried away after one match. “Despite our first major injury coming in the first 20 seconds of the 2022 campaign, it was a great round one for our NPL squads. “Putting 24 goals in the back of the net on day one and only conceding four goals across the four grades is something to be very pleased with. “Although we’ve had a great day out today we know it only gets tougher from here, we keep our expectations high and get back to training this week trying to improve on this week’s performances,” said Alex. NCF will take on Maitland FC on Saturday 19 March at the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility. By David WIGLEY
