ANZAC Park at Raymond Terrace to receive an upgrade

 

PLANNING is underway to upgrade ANZAC Park at Raymond Terrace as part of Port Stephens Council plan to improve the experience for all attendees of services.

Council’s Facilities and Services Group Manager Greg Kable said that Port Stephens Council are working to improve a number of ANZAC facilities across the Local Government Area.

“Our war memorials are important places of remembrance for our community, which is why Council is working closely with local RSL sub-Branches to improve the amenity and experience of attendees.

“We’re currently working with the Raymond Terrace RSL sub-Branch on an upgrade of the memorial at ANZAC Park and look forward to sharing further details later this year,” Mr Kable said.

News of this upgrade follows the announcement of a new ANZAC Memorial to be built on Ferodale Road in Medowie expected to be upgraded early April for 2022 ANZAC Day services.
