Crunch time for Coffs cricketers as finals series set for March

 

CRUNCH time has arrived for Coffs Harbour cricketers with the Coffs Harbour District Cricket Association’s finals series set to be decided this month.

This season’s semi-finals were scheduled to take place this weekend.

The 2021/22 season has been severely affected by rain with the majority of the rounds washed out.

Nana Glen finished the first grade season as minor premiers with last season’s premiers Diggers Cricket Club Inc.

finishing in second spot on the ladder.

Sawtell Cricket Club and the Northern Districts Rebels also earnt semi-final spots.

Second grade saw Valleys Cricket finish as minor premiers, while Sawtell topped the ladder in third grade.

Coffs Harbour District Cricket Association’s preliminary finals are scheduled for Saturday, 12 March, with the grand finals set down for Saturday, 19 March.

The Coffs Harbour District Cricket Association’s junior competition’s finals series are also set to get underway this month, with semi-finals to begin on 11-12 March.

The latest round of the North Coast Cricket Council’s Premier League was also scheduled to be played this weekend.

The Premier League has two rounds remaining before its finals series begins on Saturday, 19 March with two day matches in the semi-finals.

The Premier League grand final is set down to be a two-day match on 26-27 March.

The grand final of the Neil Frame Shield inter-district competition is also set for this month.

Coffs Harbour District Cricket Association host the Lower Clarence Cricket Association on Sunday, 13 March at Fitzroy Oval.
