Hoys offer $15,000 sponsorships to young and mature local athletes

HOYS Allied Health and Wellness are again offering opportunities for sponsorship for athletes on the Coffs Coast, but, this year, both young and mature aged athletes can apply.

The Hoys Athlete Sponsorship is available for young athletes aged 14 to 18 and to those aged 30 or more to improve their training and maximise performance through exercise and nutrition.

Hoys promotes strength and performance training as imperative for all athletes with the key goal of helping individuals to take care of their bodies not only physically but mentally as well.

Athletes learn that healthy training habits and working on preventative health and strength training, tailored to the individual, is important in keeping athletes of all ages in a positive mindset, and performing at their best.

In addition to the physical elements of improved performance, Hoys undertake to ensure that nutritional needs are being taken care of, and will work with the sponsored athletes to build healthy and informed eating habits that will improve performance and stamina and have a positive impact on exercise recovery.

Sponsorship, up to the value of $15,000, includes initial consultations with a Hoys Exercise Physiologist and Dietitian, a strength and conditioning session each week, physiotherapy, remedial massage, and/or dietitian consults to the value of $1500, sponsored equipment to the value of $150, access to all Hoysfit Strength and Conditioning classes, individualised programming from an Exercise Physiologist and discounts to Hoys services for the athletes club, team or school.

Zachary O’Brien, Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Strength Conditioning Coach, said, “This is an awesome opportunity to grow your athletic abilities in your chosen sport through specific strength and conditioning training programs.

“Athletes will also have access to dieticians and physiotherapists to help with performance and recovery.”
