CWA Macksville Street Stall A Success

Macksville locals enjoying the goodies on offer at the CWA Street Stall.

THANK you good people of Macksville for supporting the CWA Street Stall on Thursday 18 November.

Tables laden with home made jams, pickles, cakes and slices raised $910, the Raffle raised $197, and the trading table with plants, jewellery, homemade pieces, pet rocks, cook books and tea towels and odds and sods raised $713.

All going towards the fund to update our (very old) original kitchen at headquarters, 31 Princess Street.

Funny anecdotes include Phyllis’s ‘Mushroom Cakes’ selling out immediately to one buyer, who can’t get enough of them.

No, not mushrooms in a cake, cakes shaped and iced like our favourite fungi!

A number of people commented that they had seen the advertising for the Stall in Nambucca Valley News Of The Area and made a diary note, so a very big thank you to NOTA.

A warm thank you also to Trisleys Electrical for allowing us the space outside their shop.

CWA welcomes all new members, and we hope you will follow our facebook page and join up in 2022.

A great new years resolution!
