After a short drop in demand due to the pandemic, the company is back up to full operation, but have found that the demand has led to delays in servicing some orders, often as a result of supply chain issues.

Managing Director Rick Hall told News Of The Area, “The grant funding will allow us to improve our warehousing capacity and efficiency, and we will be changing the way our work flows through the plant.

“We anticipate that we can increase our productivity from around 100 items per shift to 160 or 170, allowing us to be more responsive to our customers’ orders.”

The $260,000 grant will also go towards new fabrication machinery to expand the range of products on offer.

Currently employing 40 full time and up to 30 casual staff, the grant will help the company to expand its workforce by up to thirteen new jobs.

Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said, “This grant will help the company to upgrade its warehouse storage space to stockpile popular products and invest time and money to upskill staff, who will be crucial for the future success of the company.”

The money has come from the Regional Job Creation Fund which supports eligible businesses with grants to purchase new equipment, expand facilities, acquire technology, create new production lines or establish businesses in regional NSW.

Round one of the Regional Job Creation Fund has now closed, with a second round opening in early 2022.
