Diane Potter, Project Manager with Nambucca Rotary told News Of The Area some of the booked highlights.

“Get out the 60s costumes and enter the best dressed competition,” she said.

“Book your spot on the walk-up stage.

“Enter the buskers competition.

“Learn how to tie dye, make candles, conquer Yoga or learn guitar.

“Book your camp spot and buy your ticket.”

Woodstock in the Valley, to be held on Saturday 19 February at Macksville Showground, will be a fun packed family day offering great food and markets, kid’s fun activities, great music and entertainment and a relaxed atmosphere for everyone to come out and enjoy.

Up-and-coming artists are encouraged to book a spot on the walk-up stage to make sure they don’t miss out on performing, and a busking competition will be announced in coming days so watch this space.

“Buskers will be encouraged to set up in designated areas around the region over the weeks preceding the festival and the public will be asked to vote for their favourite artists.

“The top artists, as voted for by the public, will perform in a final at the festival and judging will be carried out by a VIP – to be confirmed.”

The prize will include a slot on the main stage at the festival.

Market stall holders are encouraged to book their spot by going to the website.

Visitors are also able to take part in workshops such as candle making, tie dying, Yoga and music improvisation.

Dianne calls for community input, “Anybody with a great product interested in hosting should contact me – Dianne Potter on 0439873627.”

Information on the festival and a link to tickets and camping is available at www.woodstockinthevalley.com or go to the Facebook page.
