CONSISTENCY Singles have been played and won by Shirley Willis with Di De La Cruz the runner-up.

There were some great matches played throughout the competition, so a big congratulations to Shirley our winner and Di our runner-up.

Before the Consistency Singles competition started there was time to have a lesson on the rules of consistency followed by a practice game in the form of Set Singles.

As Consistency Singles is normally a ‘once a year’ competition this was well received by everyone, experienced players as well as our new ones.

Thursday 11November: Jeanette Kutz, Dot Heron d Angela Fryer, Di De La Cruz 30-10; Joan Willis, Rosemary Williams, Beryl Foster d Ailsa Matthews, Jos Mitchell, Daisy Morley 25-16; June Sambrook, Jan Appleton tied with Robyn Groundwater, Ardis Ellsmore 13 all.
